Update: Africa Fundraiser

I just want to give a big thank you to everyone who helped support the Africa Fundraiser, as a school we were able to raise $1304 dollars this year. I want to give a special thank you to Mr.Hobson, Mrs. Mylie, Mrs. Bazin,Coach Ferrer, and Mr.Grant for taking a bunch of pies to the face on Friday, and thank you to all the other teachers who volunteered to take a pie but didn't have to take the plunge.  The overwhelming support shown by the faculty and students is one of the many reasons I love to teach here. If you don't remember, we are using that money to buy new shoes and uniforms for the students who attend "our" school in Uganda. Thank you again for helping making a real difference in the lives of others.

Congratulations to SHS Alum, Will Harris

10/6/15- Maybe Coach Harris is too humble to mention his “little” brother, but Slidell high alum and Coach Harris' brother, Will ,pitched a perfect inning of relief last night for the Astros against the Yankees in a wild card MLB playoff game. They now move on to the American League Division series beginning Oct. 8th against KC. Congrats Will! You've made all of SHS and your family proud!
