Homecoming 2009 Dance Guidelines

The Homecoming Dance will be held in the gym on Saturday, October 24th. The Dance will begin at eight o'clock ( 8:00 pm ) and end at eleven ( 11:00 pm ). Students must be in by nine o'clock ( 9:00 pm ) and may not leave before eleven o'clock ( 11:00 pm ).

The price of admission is $10.00 per person. Tickets will be sold in advance. You must show your ID in order to purchase a ticket. Tickets will be sold until four o'clock on Friday, October 23rd. There will be no refunds. Remember, completed Out of School date forms must be returned to the Main Office no later than 4:30 on Thursday, October 22nd. Do not invite someone who has had a bad disciplinary record while at Slidell High School or any other school. They will not be approved. Any student who has been suspended during the first nine weeks, or who has multiple infractions resulting in two or more Saturday detentions may not attend the Homecoming Dance. Students with questions may check with Student Services or the Main Office. We are having entirely too many incidents of this type and students who are involved in or who help instigate these incidents will be prohibited from attending major activities. All students must show their school ID to enter the dance. We must have the out-of-school date form and the out-of-school date must have a picture ID of some kind (driver's license is fine) to enter the dance. All obligations must be cleared. The obligation list will be posted in the cafeteria and in Main Hall.

Appropriate dress for the Homecoming Dance is as follows:

Boys: Dress slacks (Baggie pants that are inappropriate for school will not be allowed), collared dress shirt, neck tie (traditional or bow), dress shoes or boots. A suit or sport coat is not required nor encouraged. Jeans and baseball caps are not allowed.

Girls: Appropriate party dress, church type dress or dressy coordinated pant or shirt outfit, dress shoes (heels or flats).

Students not adhering to the dress code for the dance or girls in inappropriate attire will not be allowed to enter the dance.

We will have the cafeteria set up as a coffee house and refreshments and seating will be available. Pictures will also be taken in the cafeteria.

There will be a lot going on at the dance. We do have a limit on how many people can be in the gym, so get your tickets early or you could be left out.

Teachers, please post this in your classrooms and review it with your Tiger Families.
