NJROTC is an educational program. Cadets are under no Navy obligation. NJROTC teaches self-discipline, self-confidence and leadership skills to help you successfully meet life's challenges. NJROTC stands for Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. ROTC practices everyday for armed, unarmed, and physical. Academic meet during lunch.

SHS NJROTC Cadets for receiving an OUTSTANDING grade on Area Manager Inspection, January 21,
120 cadets and over 200 spectators were on hand to witness numerous marching performances and the individual personnel inspection.

SHS MARKSMANSHIP TEAM - 2009
Congratulations to the following NJROTC cadets for their selection to the "2009 SHS Marksmanship Team" . Team members must be currently enrolled in the NJROTC program, complete an intensive multi-day training program and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination with a 100% passing grade. Due to the nature of this team, the requirements for participants are strict and unwavering. Your cadets will compete on the SHS Shooting Range against schools from across the nation and culminating in a national competition sponsored by the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV). One hundred forty-four cadets (144) began the quest for membership on this elite and prestigious squad.
