Sociology (2460 S)

Grade 12
1 semester elective

In this course, students realize the basic sociological fundamentals and applications at work in historic and contemporary society. Students examine and discuss issues such as racial and ethnic heritage and relations, social problems, religion, social status, and variation of social norms. Current events and media support textbook study.

Psychology I (2420 S)

Grade 11, 12
1 semester elective

An introduction to basic concepts, this course includes the study of the scientific method, learning, memory, altered states of consciousness, psychological disorders, and childhood development.

Psychology II (2430 S)

Grade 12
1 semester elective
Prerequisite: Psychology I

This course is a continuation of Psychology I. It includes the study of the nervous system, memory, adolescent and adult development, testing, and types of disorders. This course utilizes computer simulation, guest speakers, and videos.
