World Geography

World Geography (2370 A – 2380 B)

This is a study of the physical and cultural geography of the world. Emphasis will include the development of geography skills with a focus on the connections between people and places and the relationship between humans and their environment.

World Geography – Honors (2388 A – 2389 B)

Grade 9

1 unit required or World History

This is a study of world physical and cultural geography. A review of basic geographical skills as well as the similarities and differences among the world’s people and customs will be analyzed. Selected topics will be covered in depth, and critical thinking and writing skills will be emphasized.

World Geography - Gifted (7648 A - 7649 B)

Grade 9
1 year course

This is a study of world physical and cultural geography. A review of basic geographical skills will be followed by a seminar approach towards each region of the world. Each area's uniqueness, as well as its interdependence with its neighbors, will be examined. Students will divide each major regiion and be responsible for class presentations. Similarities and differences among the world's people and customs will be analyzed.
