Advanced Band (Brass: 6573A-6230B)
(Percussion: 6575A - 6230B) (Wind: 6571A - 6230B)

This course is designed to teach music by its actual performance, to develop performance skills of the various wind and percussion instruments, to develop discrimination with the regards of the selection of music, to acquaint the students with Music Theory and Music History and how musical composition relates to students’ current life and musical experiences. Advanced Band is a co-curricular course, both academic and extra-curricular. This means that part of the requirement for successfully completing the course will involve after school rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Students may earn only one credit per year.
