Centennial Garden

A new garden will be created to grace the front entrance of Slidell High School to commemorate the 100 year anniversary. The garden will contain plants and trees, a performance area, wood decks, and a memorial brick circle.

Since Slidell High School was the only high school in the area until the late 1960's, many members of our community are graduates. To recognize the graduates and provide a space for outdoor events, we are creating a centennial garden to commemmorate the 100 year anniversary of Slidell High School. The garden will be a place where students and community members congregate to hear performances for the band or chorus, as well as for guest speakers for 9/11, Veterans Day, and other important events.

There will be an area for bricks that will be engraved to remember past and present members of Slidell High School.

The garden will provide a piece of history for the school and community that will remember the fallen heroes as well as those who have been a part of the 100 year history.
