100th birthday of our Alma Mater
A committee has been formed to discuss the best way(s) to commemorate our centennial birthday. Here is an update:
- Save the Date: March 28, 2009, we will celebrate our BIGGEST EVENT!.
- Centennial T-Shirt Contest honoring SHS alumni- going on now. Deadline May 1. t-shirt form
- Centennial Poster Contest -going on now. Deadline May 19. poster form
- Centennial Garden-information forth coming.
- Bricks for Centennial Garden -information forth coming.
- DVD's and Story Books-from interviews and written stories are in the process. We are still taking interviews and stories of your SHS memories. Click here for more information about pictures and stories Our Communication Academy, under the direction of Mrs. Wiebelt, is currently interviewing and taping some of your classmates. If you would be interested in sharing a memory from your time at Slidell High, please contact us :cwiebelt@stpsb.org . Snippets of these tapes (DVD's) or written stories will be used next year when we intend to celebrate a different decade of Slidell High School each month. Also, Ms. Summers, our yearbook sponsor, is interested in hearing your story or copying any of your old pictures for use in the 2008-2009 SAGA. She may be contacted by emailing ssummers@stpsb.org.
